"Desert Sandstorm" by the Ocean
Despite my throbbing dislocated elbow and the weather reports, I went to Half Moon Bay. The winds were so strong that every gust felt like a thousand tiny arrows nicking my bare legs. My dad commented, “Multiply this by a hundred and you get a desert sandstorm.” I think x20 would’ve been enough. I wish I had set down my camera on a rock or log and shot a few long exposures to get the smooth, surreal blurs—but my lens might not have survived.
